This week one of the books I read was Animal Farm. It was an eye opening revelation about human nature and the way animals must view us. As an animal lover, I love that the animals took over the farm and kicked out the farmer. They ran the farms themselves, vowed never to be like humans, and became self-sustaining. Many revolutions start out well meaning but are corrupted by evil people. In this instance it was the pigs. They slowly turned the farm back into what it once was and mistreated the poor animals!
The book is family friendly would be a good read for almost anyone. On the surface it is a funny, light-hearted story about some crazy animals, but, if you really pay attention to the story, it has a much deeper meaning. There is no questionable language and very little violence. The farmer gets drunk, but it is frowned upon by the animals.
Thanks for reading my blog :)
